1957 grill screen tabs Broke
Im in the process of replacing the screen in my grill on my 57 cub, My problem is a couple ot the tabs that hold the screen in are broke. Can i purchase these strips with the retainers and how are they installed rivets. Weld ect Thank You Billy

I think you'll need to make them. I would guess they were spot welded in place. If you know someone that has a stud welder (used by auto body guys to pull out dents) that would also work.

I think the replacement clips/tabs will need to be brazed or silver soldered in place. Welding would probably just blow through the thin sheet metal.

I've seen grill screens glued in with small blobs of JB Weld. If done carefully, it can't be seen from the outside. One advantage is that it won't hurt the paint on the front side.

Mine had half missing and the other half broke when I tried to moved them.
Anyways , I measured them up the best I could and laser cut some more
I got the old ones off using a spot weld drill. It worked effortlessly.
I'm going plug weld the strips on using the small holes in the strip.
I'll gladly cut you some if you want to wait for them to get to you...
