battery to starter question

Postby steves49 » Sat Aug 21, 2021 10:38 am

The 49' I own was converted to 12 volt, I'm assuming since I'm rebuilding it that the new cable runs from battery positive to starter now? Also is #2 AWG ok or some sites say #1, Thanks!

2 AWG will be fine. I used a battery cable from the auto parts store when I converted to 12 volts. Or, if the old cable is in good condition, use it.
I have an excuse. CRS.

12v won't need a cable as thick as 6v. So like said if your current is in good condition it's fine to use it.
