Oil recommendation

Hi all, just got my brookfield saw back all painted and pretty, got it on the tractor and running, just looking for some info on what oil you guys use in that PTO angle drive.

90w gear oil. I use Ford Gear Oil from Tractor Supply.

Hi,
The info about oil is on page 17 of the Cub owner's manual I posted for you in the post below.
The manual is at my 2nd post on the page.
It is called the Belt Pulley Housing in the table. :)

Any 80w90 oil. Manual does say 90w but I would guess that 80w90 didn't exist in the late 40s when this stuff was designed. :lol:
