I'm curious if the vendor knew it was going down under and possibly "unloaded" it knowing it had a fitment problem? If they never respond it might be best to let others know where it was purchased - that's not very good customer service.

I thought the same thing too. I should be some sceptical...
When I unboxed it I thought it may have been a return or 2nd as the base plate had a few distortions in it.
I'll wait a few days and see if I get a reply. The situation has got little chance of turning out any good as there was so much shipping cost involved.
That's the price I pay for being so far away. If it was in the US , it could be returned and another shipped out for $25 each way and that would be OK , but the vendor is unlikely to absorb shipping costs either way on this no matter who's in the right or wrong.

I too have often read Clancy is a good radiator. Had them in mind should I need one.
Some posts about fitment problems in the link below. There is experience and knowledge about what does not fit and why. Clancy may have better details as to the whys.

Stay patient. No , it's not easy.
But being civil goes far when dealing with problems sometimes.
Give the provider a chance to offer a solution.

Just to ask a dumb question, are you sure it was made by Clancy, not from some other source and passed off as one by the vendor.

I just noticed that on the label on the box it says "ai products"
Is that someone different to Clancy or a distributor?
Is 351878R93 the correct number?
My old rad has 352903R91 on a plate on it?

I’ve been thinking about this, not long ago there was some talk about these radiators being out of stock. Apparently they’ve started making them again because now they are back in stock. Wonder if they have some new help and it’s just a fluke?

I think that is a likely possibility.
The sad thing is that this WAS the one consistently good radiator I could recommend without reservation.

You need to put in your complaint to the place you bought the rad. from! --- Hope they value customers enough to make things right!
I never bought from ai. before so have no idea IF they are a good company or not! Keep the pressure on them and hope they make it right for you!
They only sell what the manufacture sends them and they know how to get back to the maker with complaints, so one way or another they need to send you the right parts.

Well , I just an email from ai products saying......
"please contact the company you purchased it through and they will be able to assist you"

The company I bought it from said in an email just this morning , "I will see what they want to do"
I got the same email response 2 weeks ago
Talk about customer service
