Hi,
You didn't say what year Cub you have.

Below is a page from the 1955 Cub operator's manual, showing the wiring routing in the middle pic.
This is the 6 volt, positive ground system.

The 2nd page below explains what the numbers on the 1st page are, and has a pic with the hood off.

The front end of the battery cable, at the starter, points about straight to the right. The cable goes down from the clip, number 14 in the pic, between the oil filter housing, and the Battery Ignition unit cap, it is about against the engine block where it curves. :)

Hi,
Below are some wiring pics. These start at the battery box, and go forward.
It looks pretty much the same as in the manual pics I posted above.

Pic 2 has a small roll of wire at the left that I added and is not used anymore.

In pic 3, I have wrapped some tape around the cable, to help protect it.

More pics in the next post, I can't post them all in one post. :)

More pics.
In pic 3, I have added a cover at the starter post.

The manual shows there are 4 wiring clips along the right side, under the edge of the hood, 2 are welded on the gas tank underside. :)

The only comment I have for the above photos...and it might be there, but I can't see it...there should be a "wrap around" clamp-on piece of metal that goes near the front left corner of the platform. It goes around the battery cable and the rear light wire and prevents chafing of those wires by the movement of the clutch pedal.
