Rear wheel center interferes with rim loops

Postby bauerei » Fri Jun 25, 2021 8:12 am

Hello friends,

I purchased new tires and rims a while ago. When I tried to mount them on my 1955 cub, the one rim mounted fine, but the other was trouble. The center was too big and interfered with the ears that are formed as part of the bolt loops. I've since noticed that the correctly sized center had bolt holes that wore to be too big, and I've purchased replacements.

What's going on with the center that is too big? Is it from another Farmall tractor?

What was the other Farmall tractor was the one rim from. It does not look like a Cub rim.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Sorry for the lack of clarity in my post. I modified the rim seen in the first and second pictures so that the center would fit. I cut the tabs off.

They are Titan rims from a farm tire specialist.

It appears that this gentleman had the same issue:
