Transmission Bearings

Postby hotrodcars » Sun May 23, 2021 1:37 pm

Hey folks I am trying to find the bearings for the rear of my transmission (352 402 R91 and 350 857 R91), I have the cross ref sheet but the bearing Hyatt A1206TA is a puzzle I found a Hyatt 1206TS, I'm not sure what the A is? As for the Bower R1518E I just can't find it anywhere. I found both listings on TM but the price seems kind of high. Has anyone bought these from TM and do they work? Also is there any tips/tricks to pressing these out and in? Thank you folks!!!!!!

Hi,
TM Tractor's listings for the upper, or clutch shaft, and lower shaft transmission bearings say they are Case IH bearings.
If they are, they should work normally.

You can buy them at Case IH if you want. I like to put in Case IH parts.

If the front upper bearing, on the clutch shaft has a shield on one side, and is open on the other side, they told me at the Case IH dealer where I buy parts, that the bearing goes on the shaft with the shield facing the rear, then the oil can run into it from the oil trough, and the hole in front of the bearing.
On the bearing I saw, the shield is not totally sealed, so a small amount of oil can go through it.
Hold it up to a light, and you might be able to see it is not sealed. :)

Be sure that you have the tractor serial number and the part number of the transmission case before ordering bearings. Some bearings changed at different transmission case numbers. For what it’s worth, TM is a very reliable company with fast shipping and they are a farmallcub.com site sponsor.

the bearing 352 402 R91 is $24.65 from messicks and its CNHI boxed bower bearing verses $ 46.30 from tm you can look it up, but 95 percent of the time tm is lower priced
