511914R1 Is a part number not a model number.
You might have one of the following planters; 170, 171, 172, or 174!
You will find there are operators manuals in the pdf manuals section here at farmallcub.com.
Start by clicking the quick links tab in your screens upper left corner.
If you have all the parts for your planter, you will have to set the proper sprockets up to get the spacing you want and you will need the proper seed plates for the seeds you want to plant.
If you have a lot of seed plates, you can experiment with the different cell sizes to plant different crops, even though the planter plates might have been made for 1 specific crop, like corn.
Here is a company that makes seed plates ⬇️.
https://lincolnagproducts.com/
Check out all the different ones they make!
Some times you can find a good deal on them used, craigslist, evilbay, facebook, and local auctions!
I have used different sized corn plates to plant (corn of course) sunflowers, green beans, and peas!
Happy Tractoring!

Definitely check out all the pdf manuals. I’ve spent the last two years collecting and finally using my 174 planter on my 1949 cub. Most parts can be “mixed and matched” to create a very useable garden planter if that is what you are trying to do. The only things that aren’t interchangeable are the planter hoppers and it’s base. The Richmond hopper and the combination hopper both use the same plates of which plastic corn plates are easily and cheaply obtained and are easily modified for various seeds and spacings. I find it easier to change plates than gears. If you post some pictures of what you have you will gather a lot more information

Hi,
511914R1 is a part number of one part of the planter.
Below is a listing for the part of the planter, showing what it is.
http://www.ihpartsandequipment.com/impl ... -base.html
It says it is used on the 171, and 172 planters, and others. Those are the model numbers of planters.
IH made owner's manuals for them, with lots of info in them.
Below is the 171, and 172 owner's manual. I would read it and see if the pics look like your planter.

Richmond hopper would make that a 172 planter.

That mounting base is for the "Single Seed Hopper" , it would have been used on the 171 and 172 for certain, and possibly the 170 planter unit as well. I haven't personally ran into that hopper used with anything other than the Blackland planter units ( 171 Planter for cub), these were common in Texas, Oklahoma and surrounding areas . Being that most of these planters are pieced together now, it could have a runner under it by now, same owner's manual would cover both.

Hi,
Below is the 170-C and 170-D Planter owner's manual, you could look through it too, and see if your planter looks the same.
http://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.clea ... index.html
Below is the implement manual section, there are other planters there.
