I have noticed the two different styles on the ends. But I never associated it with the difference between a cap screw and a bolt. Something new to ponder.

like I said earlier, this could turn into a real mess, to many variables

Nah, seems like the wrong time of year though. More appropriate for one of those winter discussions after everybody has been snowed in for a week.
