Just be careful drilling, last thing you want is a broken drill bit in there!
Remove your chips frequently!
As the hole gets deeper, the more important chip removal becomes!

Re: Farmall Cub Dog Ears - Legs lower attachment question
Take your time on it. It's not a race , I've done 12 of these and they all look factory. Tapping is the absolute hardest part , I believe it's a 10/24 tap so slow and steady will win the race here . Keep the tap clean and well lubed , my choice is tap magic tap fluid and a good American made or German made tap . I used 2 taps , a starter tap and a bottom tap . Try to get them in the hole reasonably straight. I used a dermal to drill out the old screws .i Started with a smaller drill then used the tap drill . I used a sanding disc to take off the high spots on the broken screws then centre punched them . Just be careful retapping . If you break the tap your in for a real chore getting that out.

Thanks again, for $8 set of left handed drill bits I will try that first and appreciate the bracket idea if all else fails. I'll start on the left side and see how far I get. Thanks again !

Those holes are easy to helicoil if it comes to that.
