15" Front rims and tires value?

I had sold some rims to a friend years ago and he was going to remove the centers and return them. Well, 8 years later we met up and a lot had happened, his wife died and I lost his number on an old phone. Well I got his number and picked up the centers. He showed me around and 4 hours later asked if there was anything on his sell wagon I wanted.

He had a pair of 15" rims with Dunlop tri rib tires in really great shape. No cracking but I assume older tires. The rims are very nice.

He said make an offer - give me half of what they are worth. I had $100 in my pocket. But didn't want to insult him, he knows they are not common. A friend of mine said he saw a pair of new tires on 15" rims at Red Power Round Up sit for 2-3 days at $150 before he bought them.

Ideas on value? Will try and post pix

I know they are worth more than that.

Yes...exactly the answer I was hoping for. I absolutely do not want to low ball him. I had two others provide a little feedback and one said he bought a set at Red Power Roundup for $150 with new tires and another told me around what you just mentioned.

So I kind of have a good range now to let him know the value for resale. Thank you

At this point in life, friendship is first and foremost. He is retired and although he might not need the money, I would rather say "Dan, I think these are worth $400 but I have heard of others buying them for $150" and let it go from there.

Mid winter auction here they had several of that size -----BARELY got any bids on them. I sure wasnt interested! lol!
