Fuel Line close to horizontal exhaust pipe
i have a 69 cub with the fuel line running close to the horizontal exhaust pipe. This concerns me somewhat in that if I have a leaking line, the fuel may hit the hot exhaust and start a fire. Anyone ever run their fuel line on a different route. Just wondering......

Is it rubber or metal? Post a pic.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Fuel Line close to horizontal exhaust pipe
As long as you're using a proper steel line you have very little to worry about. Leaks generally develop at the connections, which are well away from the hot exhaust. The fuel line has been routed like that since the first Loboys in 1955-56, and I know of no significant concerns with the routing given steel line. With rubber line the hot exhaust can melt it and cause a leak.
You would also need to be really working your tractor hard to get the exhaust hot enough to ignite the gasoline.
