Correct ignition switch
I searched the archives but didn't seem to find anything applicable.... What is the correct (originally supplied when made) ignition switch for a 48 Cub with 6v with magneto? Depending on where you look both are available. Mine currently has the simple pull lever as shown in the second pic. Thanks.

Re: Correct ignition switch
Picture #1 is the correct one. It was similar for both magneto (1 wire), and distributor (2 wire).

The top picture is the original type with 1 wire. The other is a replacement type and would work, just looks different.

Re: Correct ignition switch
Hi,
Below are pics from TM Tractor of the original style ignition switches, for up into the 1960's, up to serial number 224400, when they changed to a key switch, the Cub parts manual shows.
The 1st is for the magneto, and has 1 post for a wire.
The 2nd is for the Battery Ignition unit, and has 2 posts for wires.
