Do I have the right parts for mounting drawbar
I have a fixed draw-bar and the left and right mounting brackets. The drawbar has a hole and slot on both sides. The brackets have a mounting pin and three small holes, How do you install the drawbar to keep from moving up or down? I am about to drill out the slots and mount with the four holes to the final drives and forget the brackets but would like someones advice first . I don;t want to mess it up. Thank for the help I know this must be a stupid question, but I am stumped. I cannot seem to find a good photo that shows what I need to know or in the manual.

Do not modify and mount direct. You just need couple of 1/2” bolts and nuts and 4 drawbar mounting bolts. They have a tapered shoulder under the head that lock the brackets in place when they’re tightened down. Oh and a couple carter keys for the pins. Nothing to it

Hi,
Here is info for the drawbar, if you need it.
Below are pages from the 1955 Cub operator's manual, showing the drawbar, you can read about it if you want.

Below is a listing for the bolts to hold the drawbar onto the final drives. IH used this style of bolts.
http://www.tmtractor.com/new/gb/324fp.htm
Below is a page from the Cub parts manual showing the drawbar. It gives the size and length of the drawbar bolts at number 8 in the description. It says 1 3/4" long.
2" long would work if you can't find 1 3/4" long, if they have threads down far enough on the bolts.
Disregard the pics of the swinging drawbar, if you don't have one.

Yes things change with getting older. I’m fighting them as hard as I can. I hope I get much older because it sure beats the alternative.
