C60 bearings

Postby Mahoman » Fri Aug 28, 2020 8:13 pm

So I got my c60 back from the machine shop 40 thou on the bore and 10 thou under on the crank, not bad. But I need bearings now and I’m trying to find the right ones, my rod casting number is 251246R1 but I don’t see that as an option online anywhere it’s always r11 or 13, what’s the deal?

Btw I measures across the flats on the width of the rod with my micrometer and it measures .8679” I only see two sizes of bearing and neither of them are even close to this size I know they’re supposed to be a bit narrower than the rod.

main bearings are all the same, the rod bearings have two different types which are identified by the casting # of the connecting rod

251246R1 is the part number of the early style connecting rod. It is the rod ONLY. The same number with an R11, 12, or 13 is a minor assembly with the connecting rod as the major part. In this case, it is the rod, two bolts with nuts, and a piston pin bushing. The 10 under bearing for your rod is 376604R11.

So would my rods be the equivalent of the r11?
