Re: Spare Parts
The most comon repair parts; bearings, seals, piston parts, gaskets, ignition, etc., from the local auto parts stores. I research and take in a list of manufacturers cross referenced part numbers.
The local Case/IH, New Holland, Cub Cadet dealers for specialized parts. The IH part number, much faster and easier.
I use the in town New Holland dealer. May take a couple of days if the parts are not on hand.
Side note. The local long term IH dealership where I purchased Cub parts apparently no longer handles IH parts. They use to stock just about any Cub part except for the cast iron. Short round trip and be installing the part within an hour.
Edit. Best parts prices, local auto parts store.

Re: Spare Parts
Paul,
All of the above advice works well, here in the US, it may be a bit more of a challenge in Australia. However, it is always wise to have the IH part number. The site sponsors (at the bottom of the page) are great sources for Cub parts, check with them on international shipment policies. Good luck with your repairs.

Re: Spare Parts
It is more of a challenge being down here for sure. Something as simple as the time difference makes it harder.
It makes it nearly impossible to get things done when people take a month to reply to an email.
If they don't want the business they should man up and say so

Re: Spare Parts
Are there specific parts you're looking for?
If you post a list, maybe some of us could help you out. I personally live a half hour from Steiners and pick up parts rather than having them shipped.
I don't know what cost or possibility of person to person shipping is, but something could probably be arranged depending on price l'm sure. If the price of a part is less than tje shipping cost, you have to question the "need" of the part.
Willing to help if l can.
Feel free to contact me.

Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over.

Re: Spare Parts
Cub and other tractor parts.
What is the Australian tax on imported tractor parts? Tax on imported parts for tractors manufactured in Australia? Value under which you do not pay a tax on imported tractor parts?
