International C3 mower

Postby Lt.Mike » Tue Jun 30, 2020 12:39 pm

I have an International C3 mower that was used under a Super A. The mule drive was used with a SA with a fast hitch. I know the mule drive is specific to the SA but is the C3 deck used on the Cub and Lo-Boy or even the numbered cubs?
I’m looking to put this up and I wish to represent it as accurately as possible.

if you sell it for a cub it would not be worth as much without a pulley or mule drive to run it

Won't you have to put a twist in the belt to run it on a cub or loboy?

yes you will have to twist the belt for a Cub, it has been my experience it will take a really good Cub to run a C3 I put mine on a A and it handles it much better

A C3 does not require a twist like the IH C2 or woods, I have 3 of them on cubs

I think some people are abit confused with the Danco (International) C-3 set up. The correct method is to have 3 belts with NO twist. However I have seen some Cubs with C-3's with only one belt which requires a twist in the belt similiar to the Woods 59 setup.

Again the correct setup on a Farmall Cub with a Danco C3 is three belts. Also the correct setting of the mule drive pulley is important to guide the belts to the rear center pulley.

All I can tell you with the C-3 on my Lo-Boy is keep it greased and the blades sharp and it will work so much better. TJ
