Tie on seat covers

Postby Mht » Sat May 16, 2020 8:31 pm

Can anyone recommend a good tie on seat cover. Agri supply, tractor supply, TM tractor and Tisco offer them and prices are about the same. I was just wondering if any particular one is better than another ie. fit and durability.

I use the cheap $15 one from tsc for my working tractor. Ain’t purty but it’s comfortable. And has last way long than I thought it would being that it stays outside

I personally do not like them. They always get my butt wet.

Years ago we could get orange colored canvas covers that tied on. Not overly pretty, but they held up well, and your butt did not sweat as bad on a hot day as with the canvas ones. I think the Ford dealers used to sell them, sure wish I could still buy that type.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I got some red/white vinyl ones from Amazon for $18.00 each about a year ago. They've held up well, and are comfortable both on the Cub and 300. One downside though, they'll make you sweat when its hot. In the winter they aren't bad. About like Ford's old vinyl bench seats. You'll stick in the summer and slide off in the winter.

I have a silver covered one I got from restoration supply in Massachusetts 3 years ago. Instead of tying on it has a plastic ring that clamps around the seat lip. Have to get plastic soft and it takes strong hands to get in place. Looks excellent on seat, comfortable, doesn’t move around, and has held up well on my daily driver lol. Think it was 40$ maybe. The tie on ones are a pain in the ...

I agree on the wet butt thing!!---I took all of them off mine and tossed them in the burning pile! --- Bare seat is beautiful!---also the seat rusts under them!--the last 2 here that didnt get removed ate right thru the seat and seat fell off!
