57 LoBoy TC control lever assy
Need some help with this assembly. Illustration Part #2 & #3 have been damaged/rigged by someone in the past. The #2 has been drilled and a pin inserted to keep #3 in place. Also the mounting bracket #5 is broken at the top front corner although it's functional. When the lever #3 is moved there is quite a bit of movement before #2 moves the rod to change the TC position. I have not disassembled this so far but I think the shaft must be fitted into a square hole in #3 and it's wallowed out allowing the slack movement. Any suggestions? Repair/weld #3 to the shaft #2? Replace the assembly? Note this is particular to the offset LoBoy tractor according to the page from TC37F attached. Thanks.

Hi,
Without pics it's hard to know what condition the lever parts are in.
If it is too bad, you could try buying another one at JP Tractor Salvage, or somewhere.
The words at the top of the parts manual pic say the adjustable friction lever assembly was used on Cubs too.
Only the first few years of Cubs had the non adjustable friction lever.

Upon closer inspection of the replacement assy that was acquired from TST I can see the PO substituted a nail for a roll pin. Changing the entire assy. TKS, Stan
