Kroil challenge!
OK all you kroil enthusiasts Time for the true challenge. Lug bolts on rear wheels oh my North Carolina Cub which have been soaking in PB blaster every since DSCF are frozen! Impact wrench heat breaker bar NO go! Finally broke down and spend the big bucks for a can of kroil! Any suggestions for maximum effectiveness welcome! Really hate to think of of drilling and re-tapping broken rear lug bolts!

Re: Kroil challenge!
Short burst, (2-3 sec.) 2-3 times and change directions with a decent Impact Wrench. I never only turn a stuck bolt one direction, even if I'm using manual tools. I've had the best results with the short burst. Usually I twist off the bolt if I just stand on the impact wrench in one direction. Good luck. Walter

Re: Kroil challenge!
In addition to both directions, I start with my impact wrench on its lowest setting, and just let it bang on the bolt in both directions. Slowly increase (mine has 4 settings), and usually it will break loose at some point

Re: Kroil challenge!
Try a homemade mix of 50% automatic transmission fluid and acetone in a spray bottle. It is cheap and effective - and get a bigger impact wrench.
I have one of those induction heaters at work. They are very effective if you can get a few wraps about the target. I have not had to try them on a lug nut. worth a try if you can borrow one.

Good advice when removing spark plugs as well (minus the impact wrench). Change directions while gaining a bit in the unscrewing direction each time until it finally loosens up.

Oxy acetylene torch, get them red hot, they will come off.
Penetrating oil only gives you time to figure out you need heat and impact. Never really seen any Penetrating oil that helps until after something starts turning.

Dusty!---if you need a oxy./acy. torch,--you can use my big one, if it will help you! ---I found that heat/soak/heat/soak will break stuck bolts loose.
