Fuel shut off leak
Does anyone know where to purchase a fuel sediment bowl replacement valve stem for 1950 Farmall Cub. I have checked sponsor sites but have not been able to locate one. I broke the handle on mine by tightening it too much.

Check you local tractor dealerships, any make. Some will have a cabinet full of different sediment bowl parts.

Re: Fuel shut off leak
I would replace the entire sediment bowl. If you need it now NAPA or a tractor supply type store should have them. My local NAPA store has them in stock.

For the best quality try to find an original Case/IH part.

Re: Fuel shut off leak
Same thing happened to mine 50 yrs ago, back when you still had lH dealers. Had to replace the whole thing.
Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over.

Re: Fuel shut off leak
If it is leaking around the stem, get some cotton string about the thickness of kite string, back the nut on the stem off. May need a second wrench to keep the assembly from backing out of bowl assembly. wrap a few turns of cotton string ( 6 to 10) around the stem and snug nut down. After the shut off has been used a few times you may have to tighten the packing nut a little more.
If you are not part of the solution,
