Carb connection 57 Cub

While replacing the fuel line on my 57Cub I found that the last owner had put fittings together to connect a rubber fuel line to the carb,
The new line from TM looks like it should screw into the carb direct. But the threads are not the same. Is there supposed to be a fitting in
the carb to take the feral and nut of the new line?

It's supposed to thread directly into the carb. inlet. What has probably happened is that when the rubber fuel line was installed, the P.O. screwed in a pipe thread hose barb. Of course it leaked so he tightened it more - and more - till it didn't leak anymore. Now, your threads are shot! There are several ways you can go from here: adapter fitting, helicoil, J B Weld, etc. Look through threads here on the forum, there will be a few ideas for you.
