Hitch receiver on Fast Hitch point?

Hello all!

I have a “hitch hauler”... The type that slides into a 2” hitch receiver on your automobile. I don’t use it anymore, so I was going to convert it to a carry all for my Cub. I have a Fast Hitch, so my idea was to get a point (I put an ad in the vine) and basically put a 2” receiver on that. My hitch hauler could then just slide into the receiver.

Has anyone ever made something like that? Pictures or even ideas would be helpful!

My other idea is to basically make a “U” channel with a receiver that would attach like the drawbar extension does. But, I think I like the convenience of a Fast Hitch point better.

Thanks!

Shane's is what I was going to suggest. Easiest and cheapest way to do it.

Just mount the point on your hitch hauler and not use the reciever part. I like to just back up to my carry all and not get off the tractor to mount it.

That looks great! And is my second option. I think I’m still going to try and hold out for a fast hitch point (for now) since there is the convenience factor. Who know... I still may have to copy you! Haha!

I’ve seen those and that’s certainly an option! I hoping to find one that already has the upright attached.

Thanks for sharing the hitch photos in this post Shane! I recently purchased a 140 without a trailer pull bar attachment on the fast hitch and was searching for a way connect both pin and ball trailers. Your photos provided a great solution and will save me time and money. I already have the 2" receiver from an old ATV hitch and just need to weld on the side bars for connecting to the underside of the fast hitch. I found the trailer pull bars on the internet for about $50 and that only solved the pin connection problem! This will be much more versatile. Thanks!

Hold out for some time for a fast hitch male part. It might be worth the wait. I got one, here on the east coast, from Tim who cut it off some implement. It's heavy so you probably need to find one nearby. I had it welded onto steel supports for rear carrier. I like that it has the vertical stabilizer. Often, when filling up the carrier (mine has removable side and rear sides) the load can become a bit high and unbalanced (think of sheep manure off center in the carrier) and that vertical stabilizer is a bit important for me. And when backing up to engage the fast hitch, the small pointy end often makes it easy to engage the carrier, plus there's the click of locking on. Getting the carrier off is the same easy thing when the release is pulled. Some thoughts that came up when seeing your post.
