loboy brake bands

Postby cubbrian » Wed Jan 15, 2020 9:34 pm

I have tried every possible way to get the brake bands in the finals on my loboy. I've tried bending the ends of the brake bands, but even with the drum out of the final drive housing, the band won't slide over the drum. I'm not sure where to go from here. The bands were purchased from TM several years ago and are brand new.

I have been there, I fine if you sand the ends of the linings to a 45 angle it gives the little extra room you need, most of the time they fit real tight but loosen up after you stomp on the pedal hard, seems to make them settle in

I found that in the how to section. It just won't fit. I think I'll try Tim's suggestion. That may give me enough clearance.
