Woods 59-C-2 pulley shield installation

I picked up a Woods 59 mower a year or two ago, and it works well mowing areas I don't want to go with my JD ZTR. The mower came with a pulley shield and mounting bracket, but it won't install due to interference with my rear rock shaft and associated bracket. Would I need to remove these items to install the shield (not that I would want to) or am I missing something simple here? Thanks

I remove the rock shaft and bracket.

try mounting under the rockshaft if it has the clearance
