probably all that nice paint is causing bad connections/bad grounds, run a jumper from the battery ground to the light socket, if it lights up you have bad grounds

Rob,

From the first pic, I notice that you have painted the inside of the light housing. There is a tab on the light bulb that needs to make a solid connection for ground inside the housing. So you need to make sure you have bare metal for the contact. Then you need to follow the ground (bare metal contacts back to the hood). You may be lucky and have already done that and only need the bare metal inside the housing. Don't ask how I came by this recommendation. :oops:

I figured it out, it turned out to be corrosion on the fuse. They work good now.
