NAPA Filters on sale...at least here.

Postby Dale Finch » Thu Oct 31, 2019 8:11 am

Today is the last day, but my NAPA store here in Chapel Hill, NC, has a pretty good sale going, but as I said, it ends today. Filters are about half price, so I bought 3 cub filters and 2 SA filters at about $5+ each. Then I bought 3 cans brake cleaner, 2 gallons antifreeze (which = 4 gallons once mixed) and 2 cans Seafoam.

Too bad these sales are not nationwide simultaneously...that way we would never miss out on them!

I loaded up last week. I went in for my usual 3 per vehicle and found it all to be half price.
Welcome surprise. Sorry didn’t think to post it.

Speaking of NAPA filters (which I like): Has anyone had an issue with the rubber gasket for the A/B/C/140 Farmall filters being too big? The last one I got seemed to be about a half inch too long. I had to cut a little piece of it out to make it fit in the groove in the block.

The one I installed a few weeks ago on a 140 was rough getting in, it was almost too long but I managed to get it in. It was from NAPA.

I used to buy Frams at our Farm and Fleet because it was easy and relatively inexpensive. But last month I happened to be there and picked one up - it was 14.00! What do you guys normally pay for a Wix? They also carry a limited supply of Wix for popular applications but unfortunately don't have them for the Cub

The NAPA oil filter sale at my local store was 3 or 4 weeks ago. If I remember correctly, they have the same sale in the spring.

RockAuto has the Wix 51153 for $6.24 each. One or two, ship USPS for $2.99. Plus Tax. Used a 5% Discount Code, ordered 2 for a total of $15.79.
Fleet Filter and several other online parts stores have them for a similar price but use UPS Ground for shipping that puts them up to the Amazon Prime cost of $13 each.

The NAPA stores around me never seem to have the sales that everyone talks about.
