Rear work light ?
Looking for information about whether the rear work light with the small red light on the top was available on a 55 Loboy with the deluxe seat?
Thanks

Re: Rear work light ?
Hi,
Below is a page from the 1957 Cub LoBoy owner's manual, from the Extra Equipment and Accessories section, showing the combination rear light. The red light was built into the light in the pic.

Below is a page from the 1955 Cub owner's manual, it is showing the same light.

Below is a page from the Cub and LoBoy parts manual, showing the light in the above pics, I think. There are other combination rear lights in the parts manual also.

Ok the question now might be what tractors (cubs, A’s or Super A’s) did come with the rear work light that had the red glass bullet light on top?
My tractors have the brackets for a rear light but of course the lights are missing. I’ve been moving towards getting replacements.

The parts manual lists it for serial number 210000 and below.

So as far as Cubs go that would be everything up to early ‘57. Lo-Boys got the flatback lamps before the regular F-Cubs and the newer rear lamps too (?).

Re: Rear work light ?
The combo light with the small light on top was used for a year or so around 1951. After that, the one with the red light inside was used from then until 210001 when the lights were all changed to the round style. Keep in mind that ANY combo light was an option and through 210000 the regular rear light would be identical to the ones on front of the same tractor. They never had a flat-back combo, so the teardrop combo was used. Lo-Boy changes happened the same time as changes to the Farmall Cub.

Hi,
The rear combination light with the separate red light on top of it was used before the light that I posted above.

I believe that is the light Mike was referring to.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Correct the light in question is the one with the separate red external red light on top. I picked one up at cubarama

I saw that light at Cubarama. I have been thinking about selling some of mine.

Are they the ones with the red glass lens?
The repops, when they surface have had a plastic lens.
Also I know I’m blending forum threads but did the A or Super A use the one with the red light on top?

The TC-26F Parts Manual for the Farmall A and B only lists the sealed beam (p.51) and conventional beam (p.52) used for either front or rear of tractor. Neither sealed or conventional with red combo light.
But, since I like a combo rear light, my project AV will have a conventional, concealed combo, regardless of what the correct police say.

Re: Rear work light ?
My 57 standard Cub has a flat back work light. I have no clue whether it is original or not.
