Carburetor
I own my grandfather's 47 Cub. He bought it new. The threads for the fuel inlet fitting are stripped. Can't stop it from leaking. Can this be repaired?

Re: Carburetor
It can be helcoiled. It is 1/2-20 thread.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

You are not far from TM Tractor / Windy Hill Restoration;
TM Tractor Parts

If you're not confident in your ability to helicoil the fuel inlet, they probably can do it. Not sure what they would charge.
Not sure if there is going to be the Mid-Maine Cubfest this year. Last year it was July 7th in Exeter, ME.

Take it to windy hill restoration!! They can fix you up. While it is off, go ahead and let them do a full rebuild.
