front crank pulley removal tools

Postby Indy4570 » Wed Apr 17, 2019 6:03 pm

after many many times searching with the search function for pics of homebuilt crank pulley removal devices ( to no avail) I am asking to see your homebuilt devices to remove the recalcitrant crank pulley. I am leaning towards the small bottle jack versions. I have secured a bearing separator and now would like to see your own home built pullers. I recall a few pics and remember a mention of a cup to keep the jack top aligned. Sorry but I have never had much luck with the search features on any forums. I would be grateful if you would indulge me. I have three of them to pull eventually. Two blocks are out and the third one can have the nose removed so space isn't a problem. I am slowly working on bringing ole Bug Eyes back to life.

Thank you in advance!

Indy

links to threads on this subject are welcomed, I am sure some of you are more adept at search function usage than I am :P

Search for "pulley puller". I got 541 hits, some with photos.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Several posts in the "how to" forum also.
