It would probably work OK for some things, not for many others.

Re: Cub 3 point
Yea, I've looked into them, but alot of what I've found is that your more limited by the hydronics of the tractor. If your using it for really small things, it'll work fine, but don't expect it to really pick up things.
For me, it's made me start looking for a bigger tractor, though nothing will replace my Farmall, but a tractor that will more meet my needs vs. a hobby.

Re: Cub 3 point
I have also been looking at this on ebay. I also pulled the trigger a few times. I do not farm with my Cub but I think It would be nice to have. Like John wrote there are some limits.
There are a lot of attachments for ATV and garden tractors that would be handy to have and are affordable. I can not justify the expense of a fast hitch and the attachemtns to do a little bit of soil work I would do it.

Re: Cub 3 point
It's going to be very limited. It doesn't have the adjustment it needs for many implements and won't float. That rules out plows, discs and many uses for a blade. Might be ok for a carry all.
**EDIT**
Looked it up. Just the linkages are $200 shipped without the quick hitch. $360 (shipped) with the quick hitch. Seems like a lot of money for what will be a very limited hitch.

Re: Cub 3 point
I was thinking a carryall or forks to move plates. They do make hose/wire trenchers that are three point.
Like everyone says limited but still half the cost of a fast hitch and one implement

Re: Cub 3 point
I bought one and it has quite a few limitations. All the implements I tried to use took way to much time to hook up, if they hooked up at all. If you have new three point implements that are made for quick hitch it might be better but for old implements it took a lot of time and rejigging the top link for each implement. no time savings at all. Also does not lift very high and had make adjustments Grinding the Cub lift arm t\so the square tube would fit. It seemed like a great idea but it didn't work out the way I expected. Your situation maybe different.

Re: Cub 3 point
i bought the quick hitch from Harbor Freight and fabbed the resto of the parts like lift arms etc. I found that except for a carryall box that I use it isn't much help and it adds 30lbs or so which is really about 100lbs doing the physics. I ended up getting bigger tractors where I use this more because they can do a lot more and lift a lot more than a cub. It was fun making the parts my own way and having it work, but I wouldn't spend the money again.

Re: Cub 3 point
If your cub is a 55 or past I think I would look for a fast hitch (not cheep) and the reason I say past 55 so you want have to buy a different rocker arm and left fender for the helper spring. Did not realize that when I bought one the 51 cub

Re: Cub 3 point
Years ago I thought about getting a 3 point but with 15 fast implements what is the point? Back up, lock them down and good to go. Want to swap the plow for a disc harrow? It is a 1 minute ordeal. My girl Sarah runs the show and swaps out disc harrows to peg tooth harrows, levels things off and if she doesn’t like the level of the field, click, she has the fast hitch York rake on. Quick and easy.
