Picture of when I first got the rusty '48 lawn ornament back to running back in 2013. The first time the engine ran acorns and oil spewed all over me through the exhaust outlet...

My old shop where I spent a bit of my 2017 winter '53 in front and '48 in back

I just got this '53 last year it and when I went to adjust the front axle to match the '48 it wasn't as easy as expected. After I busted a 7k lb shop jack and used lots of heat and penetrating oil I decided surgery was best, so I split the axle open one side and only then could I free the axle extension. Some post rewelding pics.

I split open the axle so I ended up putting these bands on to make sure I didn't split the axle on accident out in the field...

Then the '48 engine rebuild came a long

With the new engine I couldn't help but giving the old hood a little touch up paint!

More to come!
