Woods 42 belt

Postby Scott Boykin » Wed Jun 09, 2021 7:41 pm

Hi folks.... new to the group.

I have started working on a 51 cub that was my grandfathers... it has a 42 (I believe) woods belly mower. I need a belt and possibly some idler bracket clamp plates as well. I don’t have the belt guard, which is where the SN is. Is there another way to tell what model it is?

Thanks for the help.

Messicks has a nice online parts catalog for woods. It can help you identify if it is a woods https://www.messicks.com/wo/95176 and the part you are looking for.

there are several versions of the 42c-X with X being a number up to 6. small differences except the -6 which has a different rear mount and belt.

The link I posted is the -4 but the other versions on also on the website.

But as TST a pic will help. After a few more posts you can post pictures and get to the manuals.

Woods 42C-4 (and C-1, C-2, C-3) take Woods Belt #1469 or a B133 belt

The -6 takes a different belt. Played the odd and lost on the last belt purchase for my 42!
