I work in a machine shop and do some random stuff and some not so random. Thought I’d share some here. This piece is off a 2 seater glider my wife and I bought at an estate sale about 5 years ago and I’m just now trying to fix it. I hope to have it done by her birthday this year. That gives me 8 months. Had some old pipe with a bend which is what I been needing. I mashed it flat in the arbor press and here we go. Both sides have been welded on and this is the first one.

2 winters ago I built a gooseneck hitch for our truck since my boss gave me some materials. At the time we didn't even have a gooseneck trailer. I've had a turnover ball before and never kept the ball in because it was to hard to get out with the dirt in it. I made this one to come out but I keep it in the tool box. I engraved some plates with Nelson Welding on them and capped the tubing, that's not the name of my work but I do some welding on the side

That is a really great toy. Something future family generations will appreciate.
On my winter to do list is make more wooden toys for my great grand kids. 50 years ago I made quite a number of wooden toys when my kids were small. The one's that survived are now located in the display case, on the fireplace mantel, or on the transoms.

Found some pictures of the PTO guard I made for the bush hog. The plastic one came off so I made one out of steel and had it powdercoated. The two small covers are for access to the bolt that holds it onto the shaft. Since I only use the bush hog about 15 hours a year I take the shaft off and keep it in the shop so the shaft doesn't get stuck together and to keep the clutch out of the weather.
