That seems like a lot of work for something that a couple of pieces of wood will do.
They were made for a reason. My observations at several CubFests was that many times those "couple of pieces of wood" were working loose. On more than one occasion I hammered those "couple of pieces of wood" back in to tighten them. Once I had to do it a couple of times on the same tractor. Those pieces of wood were straight surfaces wedging between two curved surfaces, not a real strong arrangement. There had to be a better way.That seems like a lot of work for something that a couple of pieces of wood will do.
