Morning news: sunny and muggy today with showers and rain tonight. Internet, same forecast.

9 AM, sunny, 80 degrees F., very muggy. Ran errands and picked Cub Cadet parts. Returned home. Left windows open in Ford Expedition to cool off, planning on going to the acreage.

10 AM. having coffee when storm hit. .60 inch rain, wind knocked apples off the tree. Around 1 PM I remembered the Expedition's windows.

Darn weather forecasters. It's going to take several warm sunny days for the Expedition's seat to dry out.
 
I think they were better at forecasting 10 years ago. Back when an actual weather person was employed by the tv station.
Now it seems it is just a pretty face reading a phone app.
 
In St. Louis, the local CBS news station calls their radar system, "Super Predictor". I don't know how their meteorologists can say that with a straight face. As we all know predictions are usually wrong as with most weather forecasts.
 
I think our road commission has a better handle on the weather. If it is going to storm, they seem to run out with the road graders and plow all the dirt roads. Then as they are finishing up, they soak the roads in Calcium Chloride and then watch it pour rain from the clouds.
The freshly graded road turns to soup and then is followed by ruts.
 
Don't feel bad about your expedition, on my chevy c10 the passenger window doesn't roll up and on my geo tracker and k30 chevy the driver window doesn't roll up. The c10 is only 2wd with no wet seat when it is muddy but the k30 is 4wd with a wet seat. I have to think about it somedays.
 
This year they been WAY off with forecasts all over the country it looks like! Its the govt's. fault!!! LOL!
