Out of the nest of Cub Cadets I just found this will probably be the first one I will bring home. It is a 1967 model. The steering wheel is wrong.

There is another one included that looks the same. :{_}:
 
From the dash, it's probably a 71, 102, or a 122. It has the fenders, dash and grille of the third generation Cub Cadets, i.e. 102, 122, 123, and the 71. My guess would be a 102, but I can't get a good look at the engine to see if it's a 10 hp or 12 hp.
 
Tom, it looks like those pictures were taken when you were still "shopping". Which one did you buy and bring home?

What are you plans for it?
 
Turns out that one is the one the seller wants to keep. I will be getting
an April '67 102 with a very poor previous repaint,
a Nov/Dec '68 104,
a Sept '71 108,
and a Aug '72 128. There are a few Simplicitys sitting around that I will probably get as well. 717s, 727s, that type.
All "ran when parked". Nothing on the sellers property is missing major parts. A couple of years ago he let a damn scrapper go through a pick up anything that had more that just a part or two missing. There are still bare spots in the grass where stuff was sitting. The seller says the grill for the 108 and the seat for the 128 are included, just not currently attached.
He has three or four more Cub Cadets that I have not uncovered yet and possibly some attachments.
I will update.
 
I was going to suggest asking him for implements; seems like you already have.

What are you going to do with your "fleet" of newly acquired Cub Cadets?
 
The're all keepers. I don't flip. The poor 102 will definitely get restored due to the crappy previous repaint. The other three will get a major clean up and preservation for now. They will probably be restored too eventually. :tractor: :thanx:
 
Once there restored these are awesome. There not the sheet metal tractors of today.
Every used cub cadet I bring home,,,,

Needs a head gasket, check forvstuck valves.
Clean the carb.
Clean and gap the points.
Check the wiring harness for rubs n scrapes tape up bare wires.
Clean the s/g armature new brushes if needed,
