Steering Colum HELP

Ok, taking my 57 cub apart so I can split it. What is the trick to getting the steering column to come out? As always- THANKS

Dennis,
When my front seal needed replacing we took the front end off with the steering wheel/column attached.

remove bolts, pull up as you turn the wheel, if splitting it for a clutch you do not need to remove it

Got it out. Really just wanted to check the condition of the worm gear and all that other junk in the box. Am in the process of building two splitters.

do not lose the bronze washer that is on the bottom of the shaft, some did not use them and had a steel washer that will stay with the shaft
