I was looking for a woodmizer sawmill because a man had lied to me about sawing my logs found a young man (20) who was not afraid of work with a woodmizer mill with the help of two grandsons a good friend i have my logs in lumber about 200 2x4s 8ft.some 16ft.roughly 100 2x6 16ft oak 50 2x6 16 ft.poplar and a lot of 8-10-12 ft oak pine and poplar 8 16ft boards 14in.wide clear no knots i had forgot how heavy a green 2x6 x16ft.oak was the last time i helped around a sawmill was in the early 80s i was around 40 then 78 now if i ever cut another log my family has permission to admit me to the home.

The actual sawing is easy. It’s the moving of the logs and then handling of the lumber that’s the hard part. You might be lucky and move the logs with a machine but The stacking and stickering the lumber by hand is where the hardest work is. I’m assuming you don’t have much desire to own a sawmill anymore. Good luck with the projects you have in mind for the lumber

Thats why I only cut for a few friends! --- they mostly have small short logs and bring help to put them on my mill. They just do it for fun----NOT high production! --- everybody goes home tired but happy! lol!
