gitractorman, thanks for the pictures.
I picked up the snowthrower yesterday and attached it to my tractor today. Everything was there and it works fine. I am, however, missing one bracket that holds the chute control lever from falling onto the ground. Do you have any idea where I might get it? Thanks again for your help.

You may try a CC dealer to see if they can get one. If it were mine, I think I would try getting a piece of 3/8" rod, and bending/making one for myself. It should be pretty simple, as that is all the original ones were. It was just a piece of rod, bent out so that it angled up from the frame about 12", then had a loop for the chute rod to slide through. It was nothing fancy to say the least. Check around for some photos, and I'm sure you could come up with something.

That bracket should be easy enough to make if you have a good heating torch. Heat the end of a 3/8" rod and form a loop around a piece of pipe held in a vice. Heat the other end after determining the length and beat a flat end and bend the angle. Drill a couple of hole to match the holes in the frame

I think you were mounting it on a 73?? In the picture I posted, there is a round pipe sleeve welded to the right snowthrower mount that bolts to the tractor frame, and the support bracket fits into that sleeve. The mounts for the later model tractors may be a little different, so depending on what model yours was used on, it may not have the sleeve welded to the mount. If not, you can do as William suggested.

Yes, it is a 73 I was mounting it on, and there is a round "sleeve" welded to the frame. Does anyone have a measurement for how long the guide is from the bend to the loop? Also, what degree angle is it coming out from the frame? I do not have a good heating torch, just a cheapy torch I use to do very occasional soldering for home repairs. Would that cut it so to speak, or not really? Thanks again for the posts and info.
I would position the rod in the same releative position as shown in the picture, and then make some measurements. The top of the handle loop appears to be about even with the bottom of the grip on the tractor lift arm, and the rod is far enough outside of the lift arm to not interfer with it's operation. It will take more than a propane torch used for soldering, to heat a rod enough to bend it. One that uses Mapp Gas should work, or if you have one of those chimney thingy's that are used for getting charcoal burning, that will work - just stick the rod down into the hot coals and it will get red hot.
