Next Project

Put the water pump, fan and belts on. Put the draw bar on. Have a little wiring left to do. Put the clutch and brake pedals back on but have to order brake pedal springs again. I ordered the wrong ones, but they work for my H's. Still trying to get the front end cleaned and painted.

Had it up and running. A couple of minor problems but only one leak. The water jacket cover leaked. It is a new cover and I only used sealant on one side of the gasket to hold it to the cover. After snugging up the bolts again the leak slowed down to a couple of drips. I ordered a new gasket and will put sealant on both sides of the gasket this time. Have to paint the fenders and hood, and put the decals on. The wheel centers and transmission will not get painted, or the hydraulic unit put back in before the show but from where I started I can live with that.

Maybe you can just take the cover off and add sealant to the second side of the existing gasket. Just leave the side that is already stuck alone.
Already removed all of the old gasket. It seems they still tear when I remove the cover no matter how much sealant is on it.

Ready for the local show I hope.

Friday I will move 6 of them to the show area and Saturday early drive the 7th one. Hopefully no break downs. It is only a 10 mile ride from my house to the park where the show is.
I already have a winter project. My cousin would like her dad's Allis Chalmers G up and running. It will be an interesting project the motor is in the wrong place.
