Gentleman and Ladies,
Good evening.
I purchased a used IH 3160 belly mower with all the parts to make it operate and have a few questions. Putting this on a 1974 154 with a 3 point. First thing I found out was that the mule pulley had to be removed off the draw bar that came with it and transferred to my 3-point lower bracket. Anybody need a draw bar for cost of shipping? Blade spindles all got new grease along with the front wheel axles and pivots. Front wheel pivots are both worn badly, and wheels will not turn 360 degrees without hitting the wheel arch support. This Country boy fixed that by adding an extra spacer washer at the bottom of the pivot shaft. Mounted the deck under the tractor with no problems. Finally, to my questions. What is used to attach the PTO pulley to the PTO shaft, split spring pin, what diameter size 3/16" or 7/32", long 3/16" bolt and nut? Is there a fix for the worn-out deck wheel pivots?

On my 3160 it didn't have the wheels, so I bought some casters and had a local machine shop make some mounts. The woods L59 wheels are very similar that you could probably get them to mount up.

i can look on my 185 or this junked 154 that had 3 p-t on it --if i remember its a split taper sleeve on mine 3 lock screws hold it on then to remove it you put 2 of the screws in different holes to press it off. for wheel pivots ---- find a triple wall pipe the right diameter and cut the old tube off and weld new chunk on. make as long as you can so it has more support and it will last longer too.
