Hi folks!,


New 350U owner, in New Hampshire. Logging on to access a service manual, so I can be sure she's ready for work.

Used for timber hauling, and setting logs on a sawmill. Replacing/upgrading from a Ford 8N, which is a bit light/underpowered for this work.

Live PTO, TA, etc.. Did own a 300U many years ago.

Suggestion: at least on the heavier Internationalls, the Fasthitch drawbar, which dips close to the ground, is a great way to skid logs. Carrying them low lessens the backflip moment, and the weight of the log end adds even more traction. Plus the log stays a little cleaner, and you don't dig one end in.

You have to lift one end of the first, and slide a 4-6" log under it. Then back up with the drawbar low, and chain the log so that the end cannot slip off the drawbar. With the 300U I had years ago, I skidded 16' hemlock and red oak up to 22" or so diameter. I did make a guard for the (nearby) PTO shaft.
