I have what appears to be a 3160 deck. From what I have found is that it should have 2 belts to run the blades. Mine has only 1. The only number I can make out on the tag is 3100161u010524. I need a new drive belt from pto and need to make sure I get the right length.

I am now thinking it is a early 3160a. Had rollers on each side in front that were cut off. Tried to load photo but file is to large.

you should have 3 belts, one to the center pulley and one each from outer pulley to center pulley

Only have 2. 1 web site even showed a 3160 with 1 deck belt. So which deck only has 1 belt. I saw a photo of a 3160 on a tractor that looks just like mine. There was a photo of an early 3160 and a later 3160 with the early model having 2 rollers on the front and later model with only 1 on front right side. I ran a rope around the drive belt pulleys and came up with 151 inches. Not sure what size that actually would be sense belts are measure outside circumference.

That belt will be too long. I need maybe a 153 at most. I think the 3160a decks came on 184 tractors and mine is a 154. Not sure if that matters.

My 3160 has no outboard rollers or wheels. Does have a slide shoe on each side that partially cover the opening on one side.

I believe that my deck is a 3160a. The pdf is for the 2 versions of thy 3160a even though under the photos is says 3160. I am 99% sure the 156in belt will be correct. When using the rope, it sits alot deeper in the pullies giving an inaccurate length. That method might work for flat belts.

I got a Gates b156 belt off Ebay and it is almost too long. I have the adjusting pulley all the way down in the slot and it is not very tight. I mowed with it and it is working. According to the manual the tensioner pulley arm should be 1/4 inch from the support bracket, mine is about 3/4 inch, which is at its limit. I am thinking a 154 inch belt would be about right. I will run this belt until it starts slipping and try a shorter belt. Maybe get a larger adjusting pulley would work. Anyone know what size pulleys should be on it? They look original but may not be.

B156 has an inside circumference of 156 and outside of 159. When I was told I needed a 5/8 x 156 I assumed this belt was right.

I did not hesitate when I saw it. I paid $27 for the Gates b156 which I thought was a good deal. May keep it for backup or sell on marketplace.
