Left hand drill bits

I plan to add some left hand bits to my tool kit. What sizes are the most common for Cub repair?

cheap drill bits just to warn you are not a good quality and do not last long, just keep that in mind

I must have gotten lucky, I bought a HF set several years ago and have only used the smaller sizes a few times to drill the dog leg screws. The ones that I have used have cut good. I broke the 1/16 but that was my fault because I got it jammed behind a carb screw. If I had removed the screw before drilling it probably would have been OK. JMHO Stan

I have 2 sets. One from HB. The other from a vender at Portland tractor show. He's from MI. They a better than HB. I have bought lots of bites from him before. Good quality.

Bill, I’m not sure there is any way to know which sizes will be most needed. I’ve always been skeptical of drills from Harbor but left hand drills are not something you will use often, maybe the highest quality is unnecessary. Personally, I only have a couple stray left hand drill, don’t know where they came from. I’ve always thought I should get a set of them.

I’ve bought drills, a number of times, from McMaster Carr, always got good quality from them. Sometimes you just need a certain drill for a certain project so I would order a few of that size.
