Hi, not to long ago somebody here said I might find some help with this implement.
Anyone have a pic of what it should look like assembled and do you think all parts are there? Thanks

Oh one more thing. A member here helped me with a pic some time ago. I promised use rake his leaves! Haha well I believe he was located in N.Carolina.
I’d like to give him a pice of metal junkyard art. I’m hoping he sees this or someone will remember. Thanks

Hi,
The Cub 144 Cultivator isn't hard to put on the Cub.
You also have the Universal Mounting Frame in the picture, the Cub 144 Cultivator mounts to it.
The part with the long square bar goes into the square hole on the Cub at the steering gear from the left side.
The part with the square hole goes over the square bar from the right side.
Below is the Cub 144 Cultivator operator's manual, if you don't have it. It has lots of info, and shows how to put the cultivator on the Cub.
There were special equipment items for the Cultivator, pages 20 - 27 show them.
You have to download the manual to see it. Press the Download button at the upper right of the page in the link.
It looks like there is a part for a mid mounted rotary mower in the picture. It bolts onto the right Touch Control arm with 2 bolts. The lifting chains hook to it for lifting the mower.
The part is to the left of the rear rockshaft, in your picture.
The rear rockshaft lifts and lowers rear mounted implements, with the drawbar hitch.
There are parts of the cultivator for the rear of the Cub, they aren't in the picture.
You don't use the manual lift lever shown in the manual, to the left of the seat, if the Cub has Touch Control. :)

Hi, thanks for the info. As usual you are very helpful sir. I’ll look into all of this, hopefully I’ll have a working cultivator.
I think I’m short a few “cuffs.” I hope I find some. I’ll post a pick when I get it put together. You guys are very helpful, I thank everyone!

When you first put on the cultivator, be careful the first time you raise it with the Touch Control, raise it slowly, and watch that it doesn't hit the bottom of the tractor. You may need to set the stop on the Touch Control quadrant so it can't raise fully up.
The lifting rods with the springs should be checked, and adjusted to the right length.

If you have a Cub with the drawbar hitch, page 17 in the manual above shows you remove the drawbar to use the rear cultivator parts. There are brackets that bolt on the final drives to use the cultivator rear sweeps.

Thanks. I didn't see that the manual said the length of bolts to use for that, so I thought it was probably what the drawbar uses.
TM Tractor Parts has 1" and 1 1/4" long IH tapered head bolts.
