hydraulic levers

i have a super c that the hydraulic levers are very hard to move. it is only in the pedestal as i have disconnected the linkage and it is still very hard. is there an easy way to free these up, or do i need to tear it all apart? i have tried penetrating oil but it only temporary.

On the backside of the little bell crank where the linkage attaches you should see 2 nuts side by side that adjust the friction for the levers. Try backing them off some then lube, then readjust to what suits you.

Don't lube too much ...I have trouble with mine slipping because I lubed it and don't use the side tilt enough to take it apart and clean it.

should have friction washers to help keep them in place so they do not slip
