Hydraulic Issues

1964 (SN#224427J) International Farmall Cub hydraulic lift issues:

Can someone assist me with this, please?



My Hydraulics have no lifting power when in lifting mode after restoration. It only has 200psi at max pressure and when stroke is completed pressure drops to 0 psi.



If you place weight on the cultivator arms with your foot it will show 200 psi on gauge but can hold it from moving with little to no effort with foot. Let foot off and it moves up and down fast and just as it should.



Hydraulic box totally rebuilt (every O-ring in it has been changed all passages cleaned and had small long zip tie ran thru everything possible. All springs are tight). Hydraulic pump rebuilt and even tested a second pump with no luck.

It acts like pressure relief valve is not closing all the way.

What kinda Hydralic oil did you use?

Did you restore just the block, or the pump too?

We restored hydraulic box as well as the hydraulic pump. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's possible a valve is too tight in a bore, just an idea, I don't know.
This isn't your topic here, but I see your Cub is the 27th Cub with the 12 volt IH electrical system.
IH changed Cubs to 12 volts at Cub serial number 224401.

Yes, first of the 12v Cubs AND one of the 310 Cubs painted red and white supposedly for a Canadian contract that was canceled. My grandmother worked for the local International Harvester in town and purchased it new in 1964.
