How to remove rust from inner tubes

Anybody have a neat trick other than using a wire brush?

Over inflate the tube to loosen the rust, then try some vinegar to remove the stains.

I've had some success by over inflate the tube and using a large file to dislodge the rust. The file is not sharp enough to damage the tube but hard enough to catch the rust that's stuck to the tube. I've not tried it on a tube but have had good success on metal parts by submerge it in household vinegar. For a Cub front wheel it takes about 3 days before results can be seen. Stan
