high and wide '48 "trimmed dash"

coppersmythe

501 Club
No , its not the dress that makes it look so wide  . 1948 "trimmed dash" cub , it did not come with the high/wide set up initially . A cub that had seen its last sunset owned the set . I decided to combine the two ( since it was an option ) and make two "rare" cubs into one . Finally i have a little "free" time to get it done , and all the parts to complete the redo ,THANKS to tim (tst) for the tierods , he does great work . she runs like a singer sewing machine ( not in her present state ) . i put the rear extenders on after these photos , the rear tires are now as wide as the front , as it should be . It will be at buddys louisiana cubfest , she needs some helicoils . coppersmythe..................................................................PS: for you guys that search the backround of photos  , that is a 1/4 inch thick walled , stainless steel BB-Q pit with the finest welding you have every seen ( neighbor made it , not me )View attachment 2View attachment 1

the '48 trimmed dash was a two owner cub . the cub with the highcrop tires/rims had two owners before me . both sellers bought them from neighbors who's husbands were original owners , sold by their wives when they died . both sellers were very believable . the first cub i every bought is quite a story . i need to post it for entertainment one day . coppersmythe..............................
